PDFs are referenced the same as websites. Provide a full date if one is available.

If the PDF is only available once it has been downloaded to your computer, reference it the same as above. To provide a working URL (a URL that links to the relevant webpage and not your C drive), right click on the download link and choose the copying the link option. If this doesn't provide a working URL, use the URL of the page the resource was downloaded from.

URLs must be written exactly as they are displayed in your Internet browser (https://. ). If Word autoformats the URL to the main words of the webpage title, you must change it. See here for how to do this.
Referencing a data set
A data set is a table, database or excel spreadsheet containing the results of an investigation, usually in number form with rows and columns.
As above, when referencing a data set downloaded from a webpage, include the URL of the webpage and indicate [Data set] in square brackets after the title. Include the title of the webpage/publisher of the dataset if different from the main author.
