Illuminate Data System

Illuminate is a data system that integrates a variety of student assessment and demographic data in one place. Teachers and administrators can view pre-built reports and sort or filter by relevant groups, or can create custom reports using state-level and local assessment information to guide instruction. Illuminate also allows educators to build and administer custom online assessments, and student portal access for students to participate in assessments and for students and parents to view assessment results and historical elementary report cards. Current K-12 report cards are accessed through Synergy, our Student Information System.

How to View Preschool, TK, and SDC Report Cards in Illuminate Home Connection

Although report cards for PUSD K-12 students can be accessed via ParentVUE within Synergy portals, Preschool, TK, and SDC student report cards are in our Illuminate Home Connection system.

In order to access student report cards through the Illuminate Home Connection, you will need to know your student’s district Gmail address and password to access their Illuminate Home Connection Student Portal. Letters with individual students’ PUSD Gmail and password information will be sent through ParentSquare the week before report cards are uploaded into Illuminate. If you already have this information, you may log into the Illuminate Student Portal at any time to view past report cards.

To Access the Portal

Option 1

If you are already signed into Google through a different Gmail address, you must first sign out of that account. Then, sign into Google using your student’s PUSD Gmail account. After you are logged into your student’s Google account, visit pleasanton.illuminatehc.com/login and click on “Sign in with Google.” Do not enter a username or password; just click “Sign In with Google.”

If you have already logged into your student’s Google account before linking to Illuminate Home Connection, “Sign in with Google’ will take you directly to a screen that says “Continue to Portal” or “Take Assessment.” Choose “Continue to Portal” and then you will be able to click on “Report Cards” from the menu on the left.

Option 2

Alternatively, if you are not yet signed into your student’s Google account, you may sign in directly to the Illuminate Home Connection from Safari, Firefox, or any other non-Google browser by entering pleasanton.illuminatehc.com/login in the search bar to get to the Illuminate log-in screen. Then click on “Sign in with Google,” and you will see a screen asking you to “Sign in to continue to illuminatehc.com. Enter your student’s PUSD Gmail address, then the password on the next screen. If it’s your first time setting up the student PUSD Google account, you will also see a screen asking you to accept registration. Click on “I Understand”.

Following that, you will be able to access the student portal to view report cards.

Option 3

A final method for accessing Illuminate Home Connection is for students who already have Clever access through PUSD. They can link directly into Illuminate Home Connection through the Illuminate icon on their Home Screen, and then the login process is the same as outlined above.
