This free printable reading intervention checklist can help you make sure every intervention hits all the necessary reading touchpoints. We created this resource in partnership with Voyager Sopris to provide teachers with a tool that meets kids where they are and prepares them for a literacy journey.
The checklist is divided into short 5-20 minute sections designed to help teachers check in with students quickly and effectively. Each section assesses reading skills like phonemic awareness, comprehension, and skill readiness.
Reading intervention time gives children a chance to spend much-needed one-on-one time with an adult who cares. Besides the always important structure and practice an intervention gives, we cannot overlook the value of time given. The more prepared you can be for a short intervention time, the better readers your students will be.
